From the window of Songtsam Lodge Rumei, Lancang (Upper Mekong) River, green terrace with the window frame make up a landscape painting.
At an altitude of 2,600 metres, this remote oasis is situated at a point where the first stop from Yunnan to TAR for Songtsam Tea Horse Road Expedition.
Nestled away in a valley, the lodge is located next to Zhuka Village in the north and vast farmland in the south.
Guest rooms all face Lancang River, ensuring views of the natural stream outside and the green terraces nearby.

Duosong Tso is a secret plateau lake facing sun glistened snow-capped mountains and forests that reflect on the crystal clear blue water. This hiking trip is incredibly relaxing, but one that is impossible to reach on your own. Therefore, local people escort you through the village, which can be chosen on foot or via horse. With the diverse altitude changes you are able to experience different views of the surrounding landscapes and villages. A milky blue glacier meanders from the end of the horizon until it melts into the lake. When you finally reach the top, admire and take in the breathtaking views over a cup of handmade coffee and a slice of cake.
