Located on the bank of Basong Tso Lake, Songtsam Linka Retreat Lake Basong Tso offers visitors a stunning view of the holy lake and sacred mountains. When the sky is clear, the precipitous snow peaks of Jieqing Nalagabu (also known as "Burning Flame") to the north of the hotel reflect the bright sunlight making it sparkle in the distance.
The location of the property also provides visitors with an opportunity to experience the cultural traditions of the Gongbu Tibetan people.
Accommodation
Songtsam Linka Retreat Lake Basong Tso has a total of 122 rooms and suites. The room area ranges from 36 to 105 square meters ( approx. 388 to 1130 sq. ft.). Each bedroom is equipped with a diffuse oxygen supply system.
The hotel also has a lobby bar, restaurants, bars, SPA, conference rooms, gyms, and boutiques. There are future plans to expand the guests' hotel experience. The SPA and gym also have diffuse oxygen supply systems. The underground parking lot can accommodate approximately 40 vehicles, and the conference room can accommodate large and medium-sized events for 30 to 70 people.The public area and some rooms enjoy a 270-degree wide view, with unobstructed views of the lake and snow-capped mountains.
Dining
Songtsam Linka Retreat Lake Basong Tso provides guests with an all-day selection of Chinese and Western cuisine. Dishes are provided by the two main restaurants, Horizon and Himalaya. Horizon Restaurant shows the flavors of Yunnan and combines cooking methods from other domestic cuisines and local ingredients.The dishes at Himalaya Restaurant are mainly Western food and aged steaks. Songtsam’s chefs use creative techniques to add elements of Indian, Nepalese and other dishes to carefully prepare creative fusion dishes from the Greater Himalaya region.
The Qunica, by the swimming pool is not to be missed – the delicious food at the pool bar provides a more casual dining experience.
Activities
Lakes, snow-capped mountains and ancient temples are the eternal beliefs of local Tibetans.
