Activities
The events of the Ancient Tea Horse Road depicted in the documentary "Delamu" were filmed in Wuli Village on the Nujiang River. This village preserves the old Horse Road and is the only "living Ancient Tea Horse Road" in China. In Wuli Village, guests can learn from local weavers how to make a colorful Nu blanket or take a stroll to Puhua Temple to take in sights of faint murals over 500 years old in the ancient hall. Visitors can also learn to paint a Thangka under the guidance of local monks. Every Sunday at 10 a.m., villagers hum hymns in the Chongding Catholic Church, which combines Gothic architectural style with northwest Yunnan paintings. Guests are encouraged to start their day with morning meditation and listen to a Himalayan bowl concert in the evening to calm the mind and balance the body during their stay.
