Songtsam Linka Kunming features 53 guest rooms, including three standalone villas named after three sacred mountains of the Tibetan regions where Songtsam’s lodges are located: Kawagebo, Yading Chenresig, and Namcha Barwa. Tibetan carpets within the rooms incorporate motifs such as sacred birds, mythical creatures, and lotus flowers, echoing the natural landscape beyond the windows. The selection of wallpapers, curtains, vases, and decorative objects also reflects Songtsam’s signature aesthetic philosophy.

Songtsam Linka Kunming represents a concentrated expression of Songtsam’s Tibetan-inspired aesthetics. Entering the Linka feels like stepping into a cultural salon of the Himalayas. Through Himalayan design elements and the timeless wisdom of Tibetan life, Songtsam reinterprets traditional aesthetics for contemporary living.

 

Songtsam Linka Kunming currently features three restaurants open to guests: Qunicka, the Western restaurant; Horizon, the Chinese restaurant; and Jing, a Cantonese fine dining restaurant led by the team of Michelin two-star chef Huang Jinghui.

The walls of the lobby and library lounge display works created by artists such as Song Ling and Lin Haizhong following their journeys through the Yunnan and Tibetan regions. Through distinct artistic styles and brushwork, the artworks capture the ever-changing beauty of nature.

Designed to address common issues faced by modern urban lifestyles — such as neck and shoulder strain and postural imbalance — the program offers targeted therapeutic relief to ease physical discomfort and restore a lighter, more balanced state of body and movement.

Guests can also enjoy experiences such as floral arrangement workshops, Songtsam chef-led cooking classes, Specialized bicycle rides, and art exhibitions, creating a relaxed and immersive Spring City getaway.

In the spring of 2026, Songtsam begins its 26th year with a gentle journey “down from the mountains.” At the newly opened Songtsam Linka Kunming, beside Dianchi Lake, we prepare a spring family feast — inviting friends and families from near and far to gather together and share moments of awareness, joy, and heartfelt connection.
